The case is made from mahogany with inset banded crotch veneer panels framed with an egg and dart molding. Each molding is flanked by an Egyptian Revival column with brass caryatid mount over fluted framework leading to brass feet. The lower apron is accented in gold and fit with a brass foot rail.
