Description
An Antique early 20th century French Country buffet or server, circa 1900. Drawing inspiration from Chippendale and Queen Anne Styling. Features a rectangular form with a rich mahogany finish and highly figured flame mahogany cross banded veneers on the door and drawer fronts. The buffet has a large removable backsplash carved along the center in traditional French motif. The large central drawers are flanked by smaller outer drawers and cabinets for accessory storage. Drawers feature colonial brass bale hardware. The lower central drawer is divided for bottle or flatware storage. The buffet has a serpentine lower apron with matching central crest to the backsplash. Case is supported by cabriole legs along the front and square tapered legs at the rear over casters.
