Description

Meissen porcelain began its journey in 1709 as it was developed by Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus. Shortly after his death the work was continued, later bringing porcelain to the public market (1710). A well known company that is still in business today. Meissen is not only famous for their gorgeous craftsmanship, but also its signature logo the crossed swords. These crossed swords were introduced in 1720 to protect their production and to this day are known as one of the oldest trademarks in existence. These beautiful works of art were the first European pieces of hard-paste porcelain.

This gorgeous cabinet plate was produced between 1934-1944. White with a scalloped shape and Italian/French design. The plate is hand-painted with pink roses centered between gilt trim. The design is in low relief making this plate stand out in any setting.
