Mid Century Chinese Agarwood Carved Covered Pumpkin Trinket Vanity Ring Box Dish

Description

This exquisite Chinese agarwood covered box is masterfully carved into the organic form of a segmented pumpkin, displaying deep, lustrous tones of dark chocolate and espresso brown.

The lower half features soft, radial ribbing that mimics the plump contours of the fruit, while the removable lid showcases an intricate, realistic network of overlapping vines, stems, and textured leaves curling gracefully over the top. Prized for the rich, warm, and meditative natural fragrance inherent to high-quality agarwood (chenxiang), the vessel serves a dual purpose as both a visually striking collector's piece and a functional container for the tea ceremony or fine incense.
