The chest is supported by four beautifully turned baluster legs connected by a lower shelf.
Plum pudding mahogany or Acajou is a very rare form of mahogany that is increasing hard to find. It resembles birdseye maple with large drips, or streaks running down the board. The look resembles raisins in plum pudding. It is predominantly used in fine period furniture and joinery.
