Antique Edwardian Walnut Neoclassical Inlaid Washstand Cabinet with Marble Top & Mirror

Description

This antique Edwardian washstand features a warm walnut wood grain accented by delicate neoclassical inlay work along the drawer border. The compact, slender silhouette rests on straight, square legs and is topped with a white marble surface. Rising from the back is a distinctive wooden backsplash frame that houses a small upper display shelf and a centrally positioned, square bevelled mirror. For functional storage, the lower cabinet body is configured with a single top hand dovetailed drawer situated directly above a single raised-panel cupboard door, with both compartments finished with decorative, ornate brass pull hardware.

Condition

Fair; Structurally sound. Marble appears to have been replaced at some point as it is smaller than the top. Discoloration to marble, some scuffs/wear to finish; Chip to corner of marble and frame. Some striping inlay missing on drawer. Split in the center of lower cabinet drawer. Some missing veneer on inlay
