Antique French Morbier Comtoise Movement Clock Face Weights & Pendulum

Description

Antique 19th century French Comtoise / Morbier clock movement with embossed brass pediment featuring a scene of the Flight into Egypt with the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus on a donkey, led by Saint Joseph and accompanied by an angel. For parts, not tested.

• Dial: White enamel face with black Roman numerals and floral painted garlands.
• Inscribed Lambert Saëtele � la Machine (referencing the clockmaker/retailer)
• Twin winding holes for an 8-day weight-driven movement with bell-striking mechanics

Condition

For parts, not tested but appears intact, restrung at some point, wear and tarnish to brass, filled enamel repair spot middle of face, no key, some dents to pendulum.
