Description
Antique landscape etching created by the prominent German-born American printmaker Charles Frederick William Mielatz (1864–1919).
The print showcases Mielatz's mastery of tone and texture, utilizing dense fine-line cross-hatching to render a lush woodland path flanked by prominent birch trees. At the bottom center, a single figure carrying a shotgun or rifle walks with his dog towards the horizon. Signed lower right in pencil. Wood frame; black mat.
