Description

Antique candle snuffer scissors / wick trimmers. Used to trim the burnt wick of a candle to ensure a better burn and to extinguish the flame. The small box attached to the blades catches the clipped wick to prevent ash or hot wick pieces from falling onto furniture or the surrounding area. The pointed tip was often used to retrieve a fallen wick from the molten wax.
