Vintage Detex Watchclock Station Metal Box Key Watchman's Time Clock

Description

Mid to late 20th century Detex Watchclock Station, including small metal case that would be mounted on a wall and watch-clcock key on chain.

Night-watchmen would carry specialized clocks as they patrol their rounds, inserting keys found at each station into an opening at the bottom of the clock, which punched a mark into a wheel of paper inside, to show that they had been at each station and at what time.
