1. Year of Yi Wei: Year of Wood Coat, based on Chinese sexagenary cycle
2. Artist’s signature is Ronghu Waishi (meaning: Scholar of Rong Lake), AKA pseudonym 汪永嘉 (Wang Yongjia).

Chinese to English:
Wang Yongjia was a Literary and Historical Official in Qing Dynasty. In 1856, the East
King was killed and Wang Yongjia fled; later he was making a living by selling pantings
in Wuxi (Jiangsu province), and he was very good at calligraphy and painting.
