Two vintage Architects by Design architectural renderings plans for a proposed addition to 995 Deer Point, Orcas Island, WA 98279. 995 Deer point is a remarkable historic 1922 remote waterfront estate with boat house and private beach that overlooks Obstruction Pass and Rosario Strait in the Pacific Ocean. Developed as an unequaled retreat for Silent Film Producers and Hollywood stars - once home to Theda Bara, and frequently visited by John Wayne and others.
Titled Seaward Elevation and Landward Elevation, the proposed addition was to expand on the already magnificant grounds, including a lighthouse, six car garage, and many additional grand rooms. One of the greatest features of this home is the view of the sunrise and sunset, with Orca Wales, Sea Otters and Bald Eagles basking in their natural elements.
