Late 20th century American made armoire by National Mt. Airy. Made from curly maple with ebonized trim and brass hardware. Features two large dovetailed lower drawers and opens to a fitted interior with an upper shelf, 3 central cubbies and two additional drawers. Tie or belt organizer uniquely placed along right door. Interior divider can be removed for use with a TV or other electronics. Includes fitted power strip along back.
Mount Airy of North Carolina's roots go back to 1888 when the lumber and woodworking industry was booming. They had three large factories and quickly evolved into specialized furniture suites. They enjoyed a successful run until 1997 when a fire completely destroyed their facilities.
