Description

Mid 20th century Chinese four panel Byobu screen. Made of silk featuring hand painted detail of herons or cranes hunting in the water lilies. Each lily stands tall, and the birds have a fierce concentration on the water below. Signed upper left, black lacquered frame with brass accents.

Provenance : Jerome Schottenstein Estate, Columbus Ohio. Jerome was was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, co-founder of Schottenstein Stores Corp.
