Large abstract cityscape oil painting by David F. Driesbach, titled Factory Motif. Bio: Mr. Driesbach, born in 1922 in Wausau, Wisconsin, holds the responsible position fo an Associate Professor of Painting at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He is both an accomplished painter and printmanker. Two years ago, he received a Ford Foundation purchase award for two etchings and last year, the Dayton Art Institute bought his painting "Black Still Life" from the "Artist of Southern Ohio Exhibition. Mr. Driesbach obtained his BFA and MFA degrees from the State University of Iowa, and then continued his studies at the University of Illinois, Beloit College, the University of Wisconsin, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His work has been included in group exhibitions, sponsored by the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Chicgo Art Institute and by other leading museums and galleries. Paintings and prints are in the permenant colleciton of Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin, the Dayton Art Institute, De Pauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, the Columbus Gallery of Fine ARts, Columbus, Ohio, and the Cabell Chimical Company Huntington West Virgina.
