Description

Up for consideration is the iconic collaboration between Philco & Radiobar Co. of America. Circa 1936. This gem has a stunning curved walnut front with ebonized trim and bakelite hardware. Upon lifting the upper lid and swiveling out the sides it quickly transforms into an incredible drybar. Includes all original decoware glasses trimmed in platinum. 4 Labeled Bottles, 6 Cocktail Glasses, 4 Old Fashioned Glasses, 6 Shot Glasses, 3 Highball Glasses and 1 Cocktail Shaker The cabinet has a nice central surface for making drinks, and added lower storage along the right for additional bottles. The mirror is illuminated by two bulbs that are turned on by a switch in the rear.

The philco radio which can be viewed from the rear is dated May 1936.

A gorgeous overall piece that was inspired by the prohibition era when alcohol needed to be hidden through pieces like this and private clubs like the speakeasy.

Note : Most of these units do not have their original glassware. The glass itself can demand thousands.

This unit will be hand delivered via White Glove Service
