Description
A stunning 19th century child's wingback chair. Louis XVI style with a walnut frame trimmed in gold with acanthus carved flourishes. Features a three part back with blue striped upholstery. The perfect compliment to any room. These chairs come to us from the Estate of Virginia Kettering whom with her husband took over the home of Charles Kettering when he passed. Charles built the home on Ridgeleigh terrace in 1914. The first home in the United States to have electric air conditioning. When Eugene passed, Virginia remained in the home redecorating and restoring it back to glory. When Virginia passed in 2003 the furniture was put into storage by her children.
Condition
This chair is in very good condition, however there is a stain towards the top of the back along the upholstery.
