Description
This gorgeous Victorian era eastlake bed comes from the aesthetic period, circa 1870s. The aesthetic movement was a late nineteenth century movement that championed pure beauty and 'art for art's sake' emphasizing the visual and sensual qualities of art and design over practical, moral or narrative considerations. Made from walnut with thick burled columns and meticulously carved accents. Features a high-back that thrusts outwards towards the front of the bed. High relief grooved accents and floral panels can be seen on just about every surface of this piece. An exquisite design that is like none other.
Full or double sized. Comes together through 4 bolts located within the side rails.
Matching dresser with mirror available separately.
This piece will be hand delivered via White Glove Service
Condition
Good Overall Condition - A few pieces of carved trim are missing; light fading; some scuffs/scratches/past repairs. We believe the headboard bed was higher at one point, and cut down to fit into today's smaller homes.
