Description
Circa 1920s dining room chairs by Rockford Superior Furniture Co. Made from quartersawn oak with turned legs, serpentine back and apron. An H braced stretcher connects the legs for addition support. Seats are upholstered in a mint green color with a geometric design. Rockford Superior was based out of Rockford, Illinois and specialized in high grade furniture that was wholesaled to furniture and department stores for resale. This particular piece was purchased from the May Company in Cleveland, Ohio. May Company was a large department store that opened in 1914.

Condition
Good Antique Condition. One of the chair backs has a repair where the back meets the seat. It can be seen in the last photograph. In addition the arm chair has a slight split along the corner of the seat frame leading down towards the legs. Upholstery is in good shape with minimal blemishing. These chairs are solid and ready for use.
