Description

Traditional/Modern green display console by Philip Reinisch Co. Illuminated with mirrored backing adjustable glass shelves and brass handles.

Founded in 1932 in Chicago Illinois, Philip Reinisch Company began it's 83 year journey when furniture salesman and entrepreneur Philip Reinisch started his namesake company. Upon realizing that it was his desire to bring the best design, quality, and value possible to his customers, Philip worked hard to establish his own company to do just that. And so, in the midst of the Great Depression, which was the most severe depression in the industrialized world ever, Philip, against all odds established a furniture company that manufactured occasional tables. This company would endure into it's third generation and beyond.

Stanford ReinischAfter 20 years of owning, operating, and developing the business, it was time for Philip to turn the reigns over to his eldest son Stanford Reinisch. At 27 years of age, Stan proved to be an innovative and tenacious leader and adeptly took charge of the business. Under his leadership, the company flourished. The product line was expanded, new accounts were brought into the fold and the Philip Reinisch Company became a world class furniture company with a sterling reputation and a very bright and promising future.

Richard ReinischNot too long after the dramatic growth began, Richard Reinisch joined the company. As with his older brother Stan, "Dick" grew up in the furniture business under the watchful tutelage of their father. With a great skill-set and flair for manufacturing and operations, Dick guided and directed the fast growing company toward plants that could expertly produce the innovative table groups the company was designing. As the business grew, the company had several high quality factories throughout the Midwest producing tables.

thomas hoffmanThrough the 50's, 60's and 70's, the company implemented strategic company wide re-inventions resulting in major growth periods. None was more strategic than when the company was completely reinvented in 1978. After several lean years Stan and Dick decided to develop the little known niched category of Curio Cabinets. It was at this time that Dick cultivated a business relationship and friendship with Thomas Hoffman. Tom had started Woodmaster, a furniture factory in St. Anthony Indiana. The plant was located in a 150 year old community with a high work ethic and produced high quality furniture. Tom was a natural in wood-working and plant operating with a great feel for effeciently producing high quality furniture. Stan, Dick and Tom formed a remarkable partnership that resulted in unprecedented growth for the company which grew market share exponentially.
