Description

One of a kind cast brass fireplace holder from the Hearst Castle. Circa 1850-1870s. Features an embossed U shape with a filigree panel along the center. At the midline is an urn flanked by mythological horned horse like creatures being ridden by cherubs/ angels. Continued throughout is floral trim, birds, and winged creatures. The piece sits upon claw feet and is ordained with 10 finials along the top. Amazing craftsmanshipand detail.

Good Antique Condition. Left unploshed to maintain original patina. Some of the upper finials are bent. One snapped.
