Meiji period Japanese arm chair. Made from from Rosewood and elaborately carved in high relief with a pierced back, coiling dragons, curved arms and winged dragon legs. The seat features a Greek Key band. This is something that is found in a these pieces as the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1899. An overall exceptionally detailed piece that will make a wonderful addition to your collection.
