Description

Vintage Royal Doulton 6461 porcelain character jug pitcher of the literary character Sancho Panca (Sancho Panza), the down-to-earth squire to Don Quixote from Miguel de Cervantes's famous 17th-century novel. Designed by Geoff Blower circa 1956. A detailed face featuring a prominent nose, a bushy dark mustache, stubble, and side-glancing eyes. He wears a black hat with a white feather accent along the top edge, paired with a black coat and a white collar base. The Handle is molded in the shape of a donkey's head and neck wearing a halter, a nod to Sancho Panza's loyal steed Dapple from the novel.
