Description
A striking 1940s Cocktail table by Imperial Furniture of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Drawing inspiration from Duncan Phyfe and English Regency sterling. Made from mahogany with a rectangular rounded corner tooled leather top. Corners are beautiful carved with a neoclassical ribboned bowtie over sheaths of wheat. The table is supported by four graduated and turned columns with acanthus carvings along the lower half. The columns terminate into downswept fluted feet with brass capped claw feet. The legs are connected by two beautifully turned and carved stretchers. The table bears the original makers tag along the underside. Given its petite stature it is the perfect addition to a small sitting area, parlor or library.
