Vintage Japanese red lacquerware three-tiered stacking bento lunch box and serving tray / plate, also known as a jubako. Jubako are traditional Japanese tiered boxes used for serving and storing food, particularly for special occasions like New Year's (Osechi Ryori), picnics, or festive gatherings. The stackable design allows for different types of food to be kept separate. The box features a red lacquer finish with decorative gold and black floral maki-e style designs.
