Vintage wooden Wonder Horse spring-action rocking horse. The toy was invented in 1939 and became highly popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The design, made entirely of wood, is characteristic of early models produced before the company switched to plastic bodies and steel frames around 1959. The horse is suspended from a sturdy wooden frame by coil springs, allowing for a bouncing and rocking motion. Early models, like this one, featured a flat board saddle and stenciled details.
