Description

Vintage print after an original watercolor painting titled (Hurricane, Bahamas) created by American artist Winslow Homer in 1898. Winslow Homer (1836–1910) painted this scene during a period when he was deeply absorbed by the power of the sea. The painting captures the dramatic atmosphere of a storm approaching, with palm trees bending under strong winds over coastal houses in the Bahamas.

The original watercolor and graphite work on wove paper is currently held in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
