Early 19th century / Circa 1840's weight driven, chiming mantel clock by William S. Sperry of the Phoenix Manufactory - 192 Pearl Street, New York. Rectangular mahogany case sporting four neoclassical columns and simple pediment. Glass front features a frosted foliate design around a reverse painted cameo of a woman in yellow. white cardboard face with hand painted peaches, black Roman numerals and metal hands. Key wound, driven by block weights suspended in case on either side of the movement. Includes brass floral and foliate pendulum and key.
