The painting is ornately framed in baroque manner with scalloping and acanthus detail, finished in gold.
A native Texan, Judy Gibson (b,1946) is a multi-talented artist working in a wide range of media, including oils, watercolors and colored pencils. Her subject matter is equally diverse, ranging from local scenes of Texas bluebonnets to exquisitely detailed wildlife and equine portraiture.
Gibson earned an art degree from East Texas State University in Commerce. After graduation, she spent 19 years painting for an art company and 17 years working with an art publisher. She enjoyed a successful licensing career during that time, with many manufacturers using her beautiful artwork on different products for the home decor market.
Gibson has produced art for many well-known corporations and covers for a number of equine publications. She has also participated in several major exhibits with the Horse Artists Association.
