Made of quartersawn oak featuring slide out footstool and wide flat armrests that open to reveal hidden storage compartments. Each side of the chair has a slatted book / magazine rack and is supported by casters. Upholstered in burgundy tufted vinyl.
The Streit "Slumber" chair, also known as the Morris chair, is a recliner with a slide-out footstool that is considered one of the first library / reading / club recliner chairs ever made. Streit Morris Slumber Chair was manufactured by the C.F. Streit Manufacturing Company which was founded in 1871 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
