• 1+2 is a poem which wasn’t written by the artist himself but by Qian Xuan (Song
dynasty)
The artist’s pseudonym is Jin Zhai. On the website of the Palace Museum, it
mentioned he belonged to the Plain Yellow Banner, known as
“Wen Cheng Gong” (Gong: “duke”, “lord”), was proficient in Mongolian, Manchu,
Chinese and other languages. In 1748, he passed the imperial examination and served
as the feudal lord, Office of Military Affairs.
• The artist’s calligraphy style is quite unique and the seal matches his signature.
