Description

Chinese lacquered and painted two door chest. Features a rectangular frame made from Elm in Beijing. Constructed via centuries old mortise and ten design. The front of the chest showcases a painted motif with a traditional Changshan robe. Changshan is a type of Chinese robe, also known as changpao or dagua, that comes from the Qing dynasty qizhuang, the traditional dress of the Manchu people. The chest is marked along the back with the original wax import stamp. Great for use as a low console or tv / media cabinet.
