Circa mid 20th century 1 1/2 liter German stoneware stein decorated in green, brown, pink and black with flowers and figures seated at a tavern table, one playing a mandolin. Panels on either side read "Der bleiht ein Narr sein Leben lang" (He'll be a fool all his life) and "Wer nicht leibt Wein Weib un Gesang" (Who doesn't love wine, women and singing). Marked "Germany" on base. Patterned tin lid. Marked Germany on base.
