Description

Brothers William and George Climes established the Will-George Company in a Los Angeles garage in 1934. The brothers created porcelain and earthenware with high-quality artware. They gained fame in the late thirties after an actor named Edgar Bergen was introduced to their work. They moved to a facility in Pasadena in the late 30's, then to San Gabriel in 1945 renaming the business as 'The Claysmiths'. The quality porcelain production continued until 1956 when they went out of business and closed.
