Standardized Furniture Co Tuscan Buffet or Sideboard, circa 1920s. A rectangular form made from Walnut with an off white finish. Features two central dovetailed drawers flanked by outer cabinets with brass knocker pulls. The case is supported by hand turned,cup and cover legs leading to bun feet.. Legs are connected by a stretcher from front to back an side to side. Includes a backsplash for added depth as well as a removable silverware divider in upper drawer. The cabinet drawers inspiration from both William & Mary and Italian styling. Marked along back side ""Standardized Furniture Co. Grand Rapids Michigan"".

Standardized Furniture Company was one of the many amazing furniture companies operating out of Grand Rapids, Michigan shortly after the turn of the century. Like some their demise hit with the crash of the stock market in 1929. They opened in 1919, and for a decade produced beautiful pieces in a variety of styles from Mahogany and Walnut.
