Antique Edwardian horn oval snuff / trinket / pill box, decorated with an unmonogrammed sterling silver 925 shield / crest / plaque.

William Dunningham was a manufacturing jewellers & silversmiths working from Diamond Street, Aberdeen from the late 19th century until the 1950’s. They were renowned for crafting horn and sterling silver Scottish accoutrements. From snuff mulls, porridge spoons and whisky quaichs to kilt pins and Highland dress accessories.

Province
Estate of J. Frederic Gagel, owner of multiple Thoroughbred race horses that competed in the Narragansett Special and Kentucky Derby. Their family heritage was strongly intertwined with the military having officers in battles dating back to the American Revolution.

Fair- does not screw down, lid missing rim.
