Antique mid 19th century Manross Prichard & Co 8 day shelf clock featuring Ogee (OG) form with mahogany case, brass works, roman numeral face and mirror. Circa 1843.

Manross, Prichard & Co, circa 1841-43. Elisha Manross bought a shop from Joseph Ives and was making wooden clock parts for Chauncy Boardman as early as 1813. Years later, he made clocks with a man named Wilcox c.1840. A partnership with Prichard came next, but was short lived as he bought out his partners August 17th 1843. Sold out to EN Welch sometime after 1850. They used a type 19.212 movement of their own manufacture.


Good antique condition, wear and distressing commensurate with age and use, veneer loss to case lower left, paint loss / scratching to face, silver loss to mirror, working.
