Vintage stained glass window diptych featuring two art nouveau style women with the phrase “Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,” a reproduction of works by Alexander Gascoyne. Born in 1877, Alexander Gascoyne ran an ‘Ecclesiastical artist’s business’ established by his father George Frederick in Nottingham, England. He became well known as a designer of stained glass and has numerous windows in English churches. He was a member of the British Society of Master Glass Painters and exhibited at the Royal Academy. He died in 1927.
