A gorgeous mid 19th century European Jewelry/ sewing box with writing slope. Faux tortoise with silver inlay. Main compartment opens to a pink lined interior with compartments for storage and a gold framed backing that flips down to reveal a vanity mirror. Lower box opens by releasing a brass latch to reveal a leather wiring slope with compartments and glass jar for ink. Box rests upon bun feet.

Gently Used – Pieces of veneer missing/chipped; key included but does not lock; catch for drop mirror sticks slightly; lower drawer is opened by pulling out bar in front edge of top compartment; Silver loss to mirror. see pictures
