Antique cast iron Quad range gas stove featuring four burners and two ovens.
The first gas stoves were developed as early as 1820s but did not become common commercially until the 1880s. The Quad Stove Manufacturing Company manufactured cast iron stoves from 1901 until 1935 and supplied stove parts until 1959.
