Description

Albert Schoenhut came from a family of German Toy manufacturers. He was invited to Philadelphia in 1866 to repair toy pianos for John Wanamaker department store, and by 1872 had branched out into his own piano company. He later expanded to other musical instruments, toys, circus figures, dolls, dollhouses and accompanying furniture. By WWI Schoenhut's toy company was known as the "workshop of the world" and the largest in the united states.

This beautiful example of a Toy organ was made around the turn of the century with period lithographs. With 8 octave notes it will continue to put a smile on your face.

Condition

Unlike most of these that you will find on the market, this organ has all of the push keys intact with functional sound. It is however missing the lower lithograph that read Trinity Chimes with a picture of a church. Otherwise it is Gently Used - Splits/Chips in Wood; Back Panel Split; Fading/Discoloration/Peeling to Paper; Two of the octaves have a bit of a hollow note when struck.
